Meet Dr. Cohanim

After more than 30 years practicing orthodontics, Dr. Bobby Cohanim still genuinely enjoys what he does.

Dr. Bobby Cohanim has been creating beautiful, healthy smiles since 1990, and has gained a reputation as a leading orthodontist in Seattle for providing the highest quality orthodontic care, especially for complicated cases involving implants or surgery.

His dental colleagues have repeatedly recognized his expertise by voting for him to be included in Seattle Met Magazine’s yearly list of Seattle’s top dental professionals as an outstanding orthodontist.

Education

Dr. Bobby Cohanim has been practicing orthodontics since 1990. He attended University of Washington as a Computer Science major before transferring to UCLA to study bioengineering. He studied dentistry at USC and went on to finish his orthodontic residency at USC in 1990, as well as a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology in 1991.

Teaching

Dr. Bobby Cohanim enjoys teaching and regularly shares his knowledge with colleagues, giving lectures to local and international dentists and other health professionals on the newest orthodontic techniques. Dr. Cohanim has also been serving as a part-time clinical associate professor in the orthodontic department at the University of Washington Dental School since 1996.

Continuing Education

Through his affiliation with the university, participation in professional study clubs, and regularly attending continuing education courses, he is able to treat his patients with the most advanced techniques available.

Dr. Bobby Cohanim was among the first orthodontists in the Seattle area to start offering the breakthrough technique of Invisalign® in 1999. He has been an Invisalign Premier Provider since 2005, and is the founder of the Greater Seattle Invisalign Study Club. With his experience, he is able to treat some of the most complicated Teens and Adult cases with Invisalign.

Dr. Bobby Cohanim is an active member of local, state, national, and international dental and orthodontic organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

When not working, Dr. Bobby Cohanim enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and traveling, as well as giving back to the community by donating his time and services.
